AKSA/GK-1 builders ... grounding
« on: 19 Jun 2004, 09:56 am »
Gentlemen (well, I haven't noticed there are any Ladies out there on the Aspen Forum!)  :D ,

I have recently taken to lurking in the AA "Propeller Head" Forum ... where I came across the following thread about grounding:
http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/prophead/messages/8150.html

I thought I would post it here for your perusal, seeing as how there was an awful lot of discussion about grounding a few months ago.

BTW, I haven't read it all yet so I apologise if it is all crap and I have wasted your time.

Regards,

Andy

I think "Ginger" spent some time talking about grounding of AKSA bits and pieces.
I've never had hum peoblems, so have not spent a lot of time digesting threads on it.

Dan Banquer is a well known equipment designer and contributor to the Pro Audio circuit and certainly knows his stuff. Grounding certainly has a slightly black art vibe to it and often requires experimentation with the complete system. I have however, had precisely the problem mentioned with a CD player and this was pretty much the solution taken.

Cheers,
