Ortofon Rondo Red in for review...

On a much more realistic price level, we've been using the Ortofon Rondo Red for a while now with the VPI Traveler turntable.
Nice combination and not crazy money @ $599. Reminds me a lot of my vintage MC20...

Dig the stylus guard, something that many manufacturers do not provide.

It is incredibly handy when doing the set up.  I wish more mfrs would do this....

Using a Rondo Bronze myself, which is a bit further up the ladder then the red, must admit this is a real nice sounding cart, very dynamic, excellent black backgrounds and the surface noise is very low. I also find the Bronze very easy too listen with no fatigue setting in at all, I played the cart for over 20 hrs at the weekend and could have happily spent more time with it.

Be interesting to read how you get on with the red
