Hi guys,

I am wondering how important are the Female RCA chassis-mount connectors for the AKSA 100W Nirvana. At hand, I have 4 RCA Daytons with me (US$5/pair). They seem similar to the ones that come with the TLP.
Cardas Rhodium-plated RCAs are US$17.50/pair.
Are they worth it?

Also, is tightly twisted (16 turns per inch) Belden 1585A good enough for signal input wiring? Or do I actually need the Belden 89259?

What are you guys using for speaker output wiring?

I am planning to use Belden 83803 for power cord and internal power wiring.
It seems expensive though.

Hey Benny,
  I don't have recommendations on all your questions.  I'm sure Hugh and others will.  But, I have two comments:
     1.  The Cardas RCA's have a brass base.  If you're willing to pay $17.50, I would recommend paying $20.00 and get a pair of Vampires that is solid copper with a direct gold plate.
     2.  Although you will get more noise cancellation with such a high twist rate (16 turns/inch), I have heard that the sound can get harsher if you do this in signal wires.  I don't know what an optimal twist rate is for signal wires.  I used 6 or so.

I use cheep gold plated male and female RCA's and braided teflon Beldon CAT5 cable for all interconnects and internal signal wiring.

I have never needed to buy anything over $2 a piece.  I have used Neotech with the same cable and never heard a difference in sound.

Length of cable will have more effect than the type of terminators.

I think I agree with Mark    

The 1585A is just fine for signal.  Light twist is OK.
