Yep. long play record = LP
LP I have heard off but did not think about associating LP with Long Play
Indeed. Used is the greatest way to go for cheap vinyl. At the gohastings.com sale, I loaded up on recently released music that is hard to find used, and with the 30% off the price was at times less than I could find the LP used. I also stayed away from older titles for this sale since it was not always easy to figure out which release they were. And some of the reissues are very dubious, being sourced from CDs, needle drops or digital files.

Same here. I got Neil Young's Americana, Patti Smith's Outside Society: Looking Back 1975-2007, 10000 Maniac's Our Time in Eden along with new stuff from Pistol Annies, The Decemberists, Sera Cahoone and Adela Diane. All 30% off. Did I mention I like female vocals?
I got 15 percent off at insound dot com mainly because I wanted to be absolutely sure it was the REISSUE of Television Marquee Moon.Paul
Eh? Not much danger in getting an original pressing from one of these sites. And the original pressing is rather excellent to my ears.
