Sean Spillane - great album here.

So I was bored and decided to play this movie on Netflix called "The Woman". It's about a Lawyer who finds a feral woman in the woods near his house and captures her, takes her home to take care of her with his own family. The guy is a sadist and the movie is a bit on the horror side, and pretty dull, I was getting ready to shut it off... but these really great songs kept cutting in...

I'm halfway through the movie right now, and this epic song "distracted" was played at length and it just made me stop and look this guy up..

Some of the best alt-rock I've heard in years, at least this song, it's just amazing stuff. You can watch the movie for some full length cuts, and it's on Itunes (which I don't use). I plan on finding the CD. Basically he wrote and sang the whole soundtrack.

Here's that cut:

great lyrics. Let it get to the chorus, it really takes off. I haven't heard all the songs yet but they're so far like that one, well written, chill, mellow fare..

edit:
..oh wow... how bizarre. As good and mellow and heartfelt as the music is in this movie.. I don't suggest you watch this film if you have a weak stomach. It starts out innocently enough, most of the film is pretty humdrum, but it takes an abrupt and shocking turn at the end and winds up being one of the goriest movies I can recall (and this is coming from a Walking Dead fan, how ironic, but yes). Gory and sad.. not recommended.. Really just wierd that it happens to have this undeserved, awesome soundtrack.

I bought the album and it is absolutely phenomenal, best album I've heard in a long time, regardless of genre. I love cool little Wierd discoveries like this one.

Here's one of the rockers off of it

Anyway, highly recommended tunage. Oh and phenomenally recorded, best vocal recording I've heard yet. Instruments are very 3d, well done!

Nobody? I really think this is a guy to keep tabs on. He's new, even his FB page is only two months old. This album is as striking as the first time I heard White Stripes. The album is varied, he even has a country song on there.

And definitely reference quality throughout. Sounds like he and his band are in the room with you.

So far only available on mp3 (but extremely high quality and worth it)... or vinyl.
