FS: Dual ACI 10" Piano Black Subwoofer. 14" Cube.

I am selling a small, gloss black subwoofer with dual 10" drivers.

ACI used these drivers in their great Force/Force XL subwoofers. Here are the specs:

http://www.madisound.com/store/manuals/SV10Specs.pdf

These are beasts hidden within a small elegant piano gloss black enclosure (Dayton, which sells for $200 now).

Each sub measures 14"x14"x14" and has a 10" driver on the front and back, creating a dual opposed configuration. This setup has several benefits including incredibly deep and detailed bass from a small enclosure, as well as zero vibration.

It weighs 45 pounds.

This is a passive subwoofer and was used with an external amplifier as side support. Combined with a subwoofer DSP, this is truly amazing and will hit 20Hz.

Please PM if you have any questions.

Located just outside of NYC.

I'd prefer a local sale, but am open to shipping.

3% extra for PayPal usage.

Asking $250 OBO.

That's a great deal.

BTW the driver was used in the Force not the Titan.

I've corrected that the driver was used in the Force (thanks!) and the sub is located in New York City.

The box size seems way too small for 2 of those drivers.  According to WinISD, a single SV10 wants about 1cuft. (fully stuffed) to get a Qtc of 0.7.

Still, good drivers and a nice cabinet...  although if it were me, I'd take one of the drivers out and put it in a another 1cuft. cabinet.

Is that a PE sub cabinet?

In an isobaric design (such as this one), the sub can achieve the same performance of a single driver, but in half the enclosure size.  Secondly, this is fully stuffed.  Lastly, with a little EQ on the bottom end (as most small subs require) it is quite the performer.

It is the Dayton cabinet sold by Parts Express.

I hadn't assumed it was an isobaric design, since dual-opposed doesn't automatically mean isobaric.  They'd need to be wired out of phase for isobaric loading with that configuration.  Wired in phase, it'd just be a dual opposed design with way too small of a box.

Anyway, in the case of isobaric loading of the woofers, the box isn't too small...

And yes, EQ can make up for the "peakiness" and high roll off from having high Qts due to too small of a box, at the expense of available amp power.

The sub never sold and has been sitting quietly.  I am relisting it.
Thanks.

I have a Behringer NU1000DSP that I can include.
Brings 1000 watts to the table, along with computer controlled EQ and filter adjustments.
