Not a lot of plans floating about for this driver. I had the chance to hear this one and was more than pleased.http://speakerdesignworks.com/Singularity_1.htmlHope this helps.
These drivers are on sale this week at PE.. 95 dollars each.
Contact Bob Brines: http://brinesacoustics.com/I commissioned the first pair of T18-F200 TL speakers (the photo on his website is my speakers). Bob is easy to work with, is handy with the MathCad modeling, does good woodwork, and offers very fair pricing. I fronted him $25 to start the design. Bob even built a test mule to check out any buildability issues before doing my cabinets. He also offers just plans, pre-cut panel kits, and might still do assembled/un-finished cabinets if you ask nice.
I prefer the Big Vented Reflex type over the TQWT type. Dave Dlugos (planet10) can guide you about getting a BVR box designed for your driver. They may already have one, since that is a popular driver. You could design your own simple straight TQWT with Martin King's simulation software. There are only a few parameters, but unfortunately speaker design is never as easy as it should be... Brines uses this software to optimize his designs, and has a lot of experience.
Polyester fiberfill would probably be preferable to fiberglass to at least avoid undesireable glass fiber particles exiting through a port or vent. Steve
Fiberglass should be really cheap to ship. (Thought you were moving to Canada.) So maybe for $50 he'd design and sell you the plans (done right). Bob can also advise to the suitability of the Dayton.BTW lamb's wool is the classic/vintage standard speaker stuffing. Probably cost a lot more to ship sheep to Vietnam.
For TL the best driver I aware is the Morel (and maybe the Shabani) as used at the Renaissance TL speakers:
The drivers that you are referencing are woofers, but this topic is about full-range/extended-range drivers in a TL or TQWTL enclosure. Steve
