As requested, a few photos and more details on what is needed to make a complete turntable.
What is shown in the photos is what is included. Clear acrylic base, bearing assembly, motor/controller assembly, platter and arm board.
A few details. The motor pod is ABS and sunk into a solid block of cocobolo, there is also a bag of lead shot inside for damping. The screws holding the motor plate to the pod are brass. The platter is solid cocobolo and has 12 counter bores on the bottom that are filled with lead shot. The total platter weight is about 25lbs, at least that is what I recall.
What is needed to make this a complete table:
Speed sensor. I have an email in to Chris @ Teres to get the part number. This should be only a few dollars. One person has asked me to order one. I may do so and fit it with the correct plug to ensure the buyer gets a working setup.
A belt. There are links on the Teres web site but basically what is needed is some 1/2" wide mylar. A piece of 1/2" video tape from a VHS cassette could also be used. This will need to be spliced together, a very easy job and a 100ft roll of mylar is about $4.
A tonearm, your choice and of course your challenge to mount it. The included arm board is drilled for a M0erch arm, both DP-4 and DP-6 will fit. Others may as well, I don't know.
A cartridge, but if you are interested I have a Scheu-Benz MC that I'd take $500 for. If one were to buy both, I'll pay shipping. Scheu-Benz info:
http://www.tnt-audio.com/sorgenti/mcscheu_e.html I do not have any extra arms.
Lastly, as mentioned in the first post, the solid wood platter moves a little with the weather. This means the belt sometimes changes track. It's not a big problem and usually just a paper shim under one side or the other of the motor pod will fix it right up. I ran it for years this way and it was never a big deal but is something to be aware of.
Thanks again for the interest.
