I purchased these ACI Talisman SE speakers directly from ACI about five years ago. I've moved on to another speaker system and these have been in my closet for several months, so it's time to move these. These retailed for $5000 at the time of purchase and according to Mike Dzurko, ACI's owner, they would have to retail for around $8000 (with factory direct pricing) if made today. I had no intention of selling these, but an opportunity for purchasing my "dream" speaker presented itself, and well, you know how it goes

They are in Audiogon 7/10 condition I'd say, if strictly graded. The eight side panels are solid maple and couple of the panels have an ever so slight curl. They stick out maybe 1.5mm from plane with the speaker cabinet at their ends. Also, one of the curves of the maple panels is slightly out of alignment with its mirrored mating panel where it curves around the side subwoofer. This was a slight defect at time of manufacture. After ordering these, Mike Dzurko called me at home and asked if this slight imperfection warranted canceling the sale, but it's too picayune a defect to really notice in day to day life. These have custom made maple bases in great shape, but the factory black mdf bases have a little scuffing around the edges where they were used as a template for the router making the new bases. I've got factory boxes and manual. These things are HEAVY, shipping weight is probably 300 lbs. with packing, boxes, and pallet. So for now, I'm looking for a local sale in central Florida. I live in Lakeland and work in Tampa. Looking for $1600.00. If you Google "ACI Talisman SE speakers" your first hit is a link to another picture on ACI's website of my speakers and further down the search results, a link to a review I wrote after upgrading to these from Magnepan 1.6's. Oh, and you also get the custom made matching "Room Lenses" you see in the picture that I made from Jon Risch's recipe. These look way nicer than the original version.
