Hi to all,

I'm more into car audio stuff, but I like to use pro audio and hifi speakers in my system. To give you an idea, I recently ordered 2 Beyma TPL-150 tweeters (got a good deal) and I plan to install them in the doors of my car. Im thinking later to buy 2 more and install 2 in each door. They are going to work along 4 Beyma 10" midrange speakers 10mi100.....

This may be a very very dumb question, but is there any problem if I use a single pre-assembled crossover network rated at 4 ohms and wire the (2) 8 ohm tweeters in parallel for a 4 ohm total load? Theoretically I think it can be done and doesnt affect the xover frecuency, but Im just new to passive xovers...

From the crossovers point of view it will work just fine.  The crossover frequency will remain the same.  But tweeter placement on the door might be a problem, you don't want the sound from each tweeter to interfere with the other.

Which would be the best way of installing them, vertically or horizontally?

If I install two on each door, would it be better to split then like 12" from each other, or mount then side by side or one on top of the other?

Thanks for the recomendations you can give me. I woudnt want to install such expensive tweeters the wrong way and not get the best performance :D

What kind of car?

If you can do it, place one set near the mids, and the other pair in the sail panels firing across the dash at each other. This is easiest with an active xover so you can tweak the ouput level and xover of the upper tweets.

Sounds good, Its a VW gti 2 door, I will be doing a custom fiberglass panel for the doors and can do something for the dash.
