Maybe that Utube video will give him the exposure he needs to unload his lifes work (& love). I can't help but feel for the guy.

Wow - can't imagine that storage problem at all.  I'm in process of digitizing stuff including hi-rez so I can store some stuff in a closet and have less physical media around.

All I can say is, "Wow!" That does, indeed, boggle the mind. It's hard to imagine how one person could amass such a collection.

My mind is also a bit boggled by the video's caption. What CDs?

What a great buy. You could probably get it for half a million if he liked you and your intentions.  Too bad he sticks his fingers all over the records. Gave me shivers really and I no longer spin vinyl.

He talks about how CDs chop the highs and lows, is compressed, and sounds like crap, yet look at his crap system he listens to. CDs do chop the highs at a point above most human hearing, but records mess with the lows.

None the less, truly amazing story. In fact I think I will watch it again.

At first I thought this was depressing, but Im suspecting the real problem is not wanting to break up the collection & asking $3 million for it all. On that basis it's a hard sell. Something eventually will surely force the break up of the collection, just as it has for other large collections of other items (eg cars). The sad part actually is that they are just sitting there unplayed / unlistened to, or perhaps just as bad - on that crappy Stanton turntable. The filmmaker obviously wants to manipulate the audience to feel otherwise.
