Sea change for me in the hobby, and I am giving serious thought to going "smaller". The down-sizing begins with my treasured C1 Sigs

In the 5 or 6 years I have engaged the hi-end of the hobby, I've been a died-in-the-wool Dynaudio man. I started with Focus 140s, moved on to Contour S1.4s; even gave the Special 25s a fun spin! The C1 really was the pinnacle, and in my mind...likely the last speaker I would ever, or ever need to own. As such, I went for the beautiful Signature in Bordeaux and they failed to disappoint.

Beautiful to look at yes; but a real pleasure to listen to. I won't wax poetic here; these speakers are hardly "exotic" or unknown. They are considered by many, to be world-class and an actual value compared to some small-house, high-priced brands. You can read the many reviews, or by all means...feel free to PM me and talk a little shop about their sound, or associated gear, etc. (I'm just not going to prattle-on here ).

Can you tell I love these speakers? Well, they've been treated as such. Set-up, and bolted onto their matching Stand4s; they've been stood in place, and babied. White gloves...much to my wife's amusement...any time I've needed to touch them; and please...don't get me started about audiophiles who scratch up their gear, by not being careful with cables and such!

These were purchased from an authorized dealer, earlier this year (about 8 mos old), and unfortunately...some might say are barely broken-in and still have some room to "blossom". I'm active on the Dynaudio forums, and have a perfect trading history at Audiogon. Were I to list these, they would be a solid 9/10...only because they are not brand new. MSRP is $8500; so I think $5200 is a fair price, for a smooth, no-hassle sale.

Of course, local pick-up would be ideal; to that end, I'd be willing to drive ~100 miles or so (from Salisbury, MD area), to meet someone in the "middle" (which should bring a good part of the Mid-Atlantic 95-corridor into play; MD, DE, VA, NJ, Philly, et al). If need be though, they will be carefully-packed and shipped, in original boxes; delivery would occur in 2 separate boxes (Please...don't ask me to try and put both monitors into 1 box; tried it once...not a good idea).

All the customary stuff: buyer to pay actual and reasonable s&h; PayPal accepted with 3% fee. Again, feel free to PM me if you want to discuss the speakers or gear; never mind talking a little shop with a fellow enthusiast.

Thanks,
CD

Have decided to keep the Stand4s (unless someone really, really wants them...then we can talk)...because I love Dyns so much, if they ever update the Contour S1.4, I might be right back in business with them and these will come in handy.

So I've dropped the price to $5200, for what are essentially perfect $8500 C1 Signatures.
