I built this amp based on the Texas Instrument LM3886 chip. It is capable of delivering 38W into 8 ohms and 68W into 4 ohms. It uses two 200VA toroidal transformers, high quality connectors and components. The chassis is all aluminum. Layout was designed to minimize interactions between components.

Sound is neutral and detailed with none of the distortions usually associated with traditional solid state designs. As close to a tube amp I ever got without using tubes. Runs cool, super efficient design.
