What does this info about the second jack  tell us about the home experience using the player

Code: [Select]
The DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) chip being used is widely recognized in the audio and engineering community as one of the best sounding DAC chips available today

the second [jack] is a stereo mini-plug analog output and is specifically designed for listening on your home audio system, in your car, or as an input to your Sonos Connect

I am a newbie when it comes to discless on my norh system - and $350 is kind of a lot for a mere portable player over headphones. Also if we are replacing our media at $18 an album, it better be able to cook me breakfast.

My car (BMW linux based system) can play FLAC and I really like that. Is this system mostly offering really hi res or can it replace my norh CD-1/Cal Audio Alpha 96/24 / Delta combo. (This thing won't last forever!)

JRiver might have hit a home run.  They will be the iTunes of Pono.  Pretty awesome!
