All,Does anyone remember this date: October 1, 1982? In the paper, today in history, Sony began selling the first commercial compact disc player, the CDP-101, in Japan. So happy anniversary to the CD!! I remember in January 1983 when it came to the US market, it retailed for $1000. I heard it but did not buy it, could not afford it back then. The very next year, I purchased Sony's second generation model for $650, I believe it was the CDP-650. Digital technology has come along way since then.Henry
CDs are like MILFs, they take a long time to reach their peaks.
That seems wildly inappropriate for most forums, let alone audio. Do you know what the most accepted meaning of the acronym stands for? Steve
Perfect sound forever, LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No idea!
Analog is king, long live the king!
I've got neighbors living in a 60's trailer with only a hand movable antenna that say the same exact thing about their 30-something year analog TV picture. Cheers,Robin
