DSOs?
« on: 29 Sep 2012, 03:45 am »
Thinking about a DSO. I'm sort of cost constrained. I've seen some info online about the Rigol DSO1102E and DSO1052E. My main worry would be getting the Windows software running on a VM on my mac. I see Amazon has a variety of scopes in similar price range from other (not) well-known brands.

I was wondering if anyone has experience of recommendations with units like this? The good stuff (Tek etc) is most likely out of reach so I'm looking for a reasonable compromise.

The Rigol models get a lot of positive comments at my work. They use Tek at work and Rigol at home.

There is a company called Siglent that is the OEM for a lot of others, supposed to be pretty good.

The EEVBlog has some info. http://www.eevblog.com/2012/07/13/eevblog-310-cheap-siglent-and-agilent-scopes/
