Dare I say it - Christmas shopping?
« on: 26 Sep 2012, 04:51 pm »

Around this time of year and almost on cue with the changing colour of the leaves, Lady Laundrew starts to drop "subtle" hints with respect to her Christmas Wish List. I like to start my Christmas shopping early, around the beginning of October as I absolutely detest the suffocating, droning sea of humanity associated with local malls just before Christmas. All the same, Christmas is a very special time for family and Hector has become quite adept at opening his presents. Lady Laundrew is also most tasteful when she wraps Laundrew's Christmas gifts. So, are you an early starter or one of the poor souls desperately searching for that "perfect" gift on the morning of the 24th?

The clock is a ticking  :duh:

I do my shopping at the bank. The crowds are manageable and no one has ever returned a gift.

I started Christmas shopping this Spring when I saw some items I knew folks would want.  Last week I went to the local women's store looking for an item I know my wife wants but they didn't have it and my guess is it will be hard to find.  I like to have my shopping completed before Thanksgiving.

Hello VOLKS,

Lady Laundrew purchases most of my "stocking stuffers" online such as books, special order DVD documentaries and the odd CD.

Phew, glad I am not the only one!!

My good lady is often a year in advance with small items for the kids stockings buying in the January sales.

I was going to buy myself a Bryston BIT for this Xmas, but will have to think about something else now..

Cheers

Hi all Audio Circle members.

For me in Vietnam, Christmas without snow is not Christmas,
even if the socks hanging on the cheminey are full to the rim
of nice present...

Therefore, not Christmas gift this year,
the same as the 16th previous years.

Well, maybe I will be back in Canada, just in time for Christmas,
however, nit sure who will buy me gift(s).

I will do some Christmas shopping, but not on line,
in real stores to feel the Christmas spirit.

"the suffocating, droning sea of humanity" I may have to use that if you don't mind?
