These are custom-made parallel push-pull amps that use 2A3 as the power tube. Per monoblock there are 4 2A3, along with one 6SN7, one 7F7 and 2 7N7. The 2A3s currently in the amp are new production, but all the other tubes are vintage.
I am not the first owner and do not have much background on these amps (I have unsuccessfully tried to locate the actual builder) but, according to the person I bought them from, they are based on circuitry from the 1933 era Hammond/Western Electric mono amps with certain modern updates.
They are also supposed to be about 25W/ch (which seems about right based on my listening experience). In addition, they are also supposed to be able to use 45s in place of the 2A3s, but I have not tried out that option.
They are point-to-point wired, and the build quality is excellent. There is, however, no bottom plate on the amps, which makes shipping somewhat risky (I had to repair a solder joint when I first received them).
The amps have a switchable balanced and unbalanced input (only one at at time), a hum pot and a switch for 4 and 8 ohm output. There is also an ability to adjust bias for each tube pair (a pair of pots located underneath).
I do not know what transformers are used because they are potted underneath the covers. From the underside, however, they do appear to be newer production.
Although the amps are very impressive to look at (and they are quite large at about 22" x 15" including footers), because of the custom nature of the amps I would rate them a 6/10 on the Audiogon grading scale. The only real physical issue is that one of the footers on one of the amps appears to have come off at some point and been reglued on.
The amps function nicely and are stable.
The sale price includes an extra set of 6SN7, 7F7 and 7N7 tubes (but not 2A3). I can provide more tubes at an additional charge to be negotiated.
I have not seen any other amps like these, and it is unlikely that you will find another set of amps like these at this price point (or at any price).

I can take trade value, although I would like to get some cash. While my actual needs are very few, feel free to propose something, and I will respond to any serious proposal.
I might be interested in certain vacuum tubes (45, 46, 2A3, 300b, KT90, a larger group of tubes, or other tubes at the right value), a room correcting preamp (like a DEQX, Copland or TACT unit) or possibly other equipment or cables at the right value.
If I ship, it will only be to the USA. Shipping will be via FedEx Ground (unless other arrangements are made), and the buyer will be responsible for all shipping charges. Packing will likely be in three boxes - one for each monoblock and one for the tubes (which can be shipped Priority Mail).
Cash is always welcome for a local transaction. Payment can also be via money order/cashier’s check/personal check preferred but, except for US Postal Money Orders, all must clear my bank first.
