Selah Tempesta placement

Are there recommendations / guidelines for placing the Tempesta?

For example: 2 feet from the front wall, pointed toward the listening position, pointed straight ahead, etc.

I have my pair in a 12' X 15" room with the speakers on the short side. The speakers are about 6.5  - 7 ft apart from the center of the woofers and the back of the speakers are

30 inches from the back wall. In my room with  an 8' ceiling, they sound better facing straight ahead with a very slight toe in. When I spaced the speakers more than 7ft apart, it

didn't as good the sound was less cohesive. I hope this helps.

The proximity to the rear wall is really a matter of taste with no specific distance required. Based on what most customers do it's usually 1.5 to 3 ft. from the rear of the cabinet to the wall. As you move closer the balance will move closer to a fuller lower midrange / upper bass.

The horizontal dispersion is very wide so they can be aimed straight ahead. Toe-in will change the focus a little as you'll have more direct sound but if the side walls are close by this can be beneficial.

I've done a lot of moving them around. I also found 30" to sound best in my room. Mine are 8 ft apart, about 10 feet from the listener. Toe-in about 15 degrees.
That said, for domestic WAF, most of the time they are 10" from the back wall. The lower midrange and down is not as well focused at this position, but they still sound great.
