I have a Zen Select that was originally manufactured as an Zen 84C and then upgraded by Decware to a 84 CEX model. I will include the stock tubes.
The CEX model is designed for Higher Impedence Speakers, i.e more efficient speakers. The amp functions perfectly, and cosmetically it looks better than its age, but definitely doesn't look new!
Price is $495. I also have the necessary 0.1UF V-Caps sitting here that I would be happy to include for an extra $125 (brand new and unused). I was going to mod the amp myself, but I have too many amps and not enough time to listen to them all at the moment!
This amp is definitely a giant killer. If you want I will ship the amp to Decware where they will charge you a nominal fee, inspect it, and re-up the guarantee for life. they would be happy to install the V-Caps, or you could. It is a very easy install.
