Cornet2 component problem

The cornet 2 schematic states a 2SC3942 for use in the CCS.
I cant source these in the UK and Digikey want a £10 (around $22) handling fee.
Are there any substitues i can use, maybe the MJE340?

MJE340 will work ok except pinout is different. TO-220 package is better fit. Try something like a TIP50. You need an NPN bipolar type (not darlington) that can handle 200V.
