We are empty nested and I am finally getting my dedicated room, albeit much smaller than my living room. Thus, I am downsizing to SET and stand mounts for the new room.
Ayon Audio Triton - Priced to sell (below blue book). The Triton is an incredible all Class A tube amplifier that sounds as good as it looks. This thing is gorgeous to look at with it's massive chrome transformers that reflect the tube glow at night… but the sound is the best part. Incredible grunt and power for a tube amp to go along with the warm and punchy midrange and sweet treble. Incredibly versatile too - It is an integrated amp OR a stand alone amp. You can by-pass the built in pre-amp and use the dedicated pre-amp of your choice. I have been running my W4S DAC2 direct this way. The high power combined with the huge transformers / current delivery allow this amp to drive pretty much any speaker - you are not limited to only high efficiency speakers like most tube amps. It operates as Triode (80 watts) or pentode (125 watts) and includes a solid metal remote.
I will include the almost new SED Winged C KT-88's (a $700 value). These tubes have around 150 hours on them. I slightly prefer these to the Genalec GL's in this amp. It uses six 12au7 signal tubes and will ship with two Bugle boys & four RFT's. The amp is in perfect condition operationally and cosmetically and will ship in the original triple box with remote and manual. It is a large, heavy amp but the triple boxing and foam cocoon are some of the best packaging I have ever seen. Please allow me a couple of days to ship, as I will have to get some help to pack it safely.
