Test was to connect 2 consoles, the Pilot PT-1030 with a 14W AA-903B amp and the PT-1028 with a 10W AA-900 amp. Although I have a couple of tube tuners I decided to connect a Sansui digital tuner TU-S77X which is a real sleeper tuner. Its difficult to get great sound from console mounted speakers but the Quams and Jensens in the two cabinets sounded pretty good overall. Verdict is -quite nice. I do enjoy listening to mono but some music does sound better in stereo. As each console have connections for external speakers it would be interesting to see what happens when I connect a pair of Jensen Tri-ettes.
