Grado Longhorn

I was listening to my Longhorn last night and wondered about the cartridge business at Van Alstine.  Anything new coming out?

We now offer 2 choices, the Grado Green1 Longhorn and the Grado Gold1 Longhorn. All cartridges are tested for internal coil resistance, "Longhorned" and the coils and cantilever suspension are treated with 1000cs liquid silicone to reduce coil harmonics and tame the suspension a bit.

Add the CAT-TWO alignment system are you have all the bases covered.

Hi Wayner, would the Grado Green1 longhorn mod work on my Rega 250 arm?

I've run a Longhorn on my Rega RB300. However, as a general rule, the Grado likes a low mass tonearm. One great feature of Rega arms is that they are cast with a taper to the arm tube. That helps confuse resonance frequencies, which is a great plus in your favor with compliance issues.
