courtesy MKCARNUT, who was at Emofest this weekend. I suspected all along they were developing one. Highly interested in this.

It's early yet. But I won't buy any device till this one gets fleshed out. Perfect company for it.

No release date yet...I talked directly w/Lonnie Vaughan, and he had no timing at all to share yet.  They have a lot of other projects on their plate right now, but from what Dan Laufman has said - this is a high priority for them.

FYI, they had 2 prototypes in their lab (which was open for us to see this past weekend...I didn't break in!).  I got photos of each, per rclark's reposts.  One has a black plastic plate and one has a white plate...I didn't scour the photos for differences other than that obvious one yet.  But a few pop up to the eye immediately w/o a deep look.

One thing to note...they do not appear to be planning to build storage into it like some others approaches.  This will find music on your network and enable you to stream that vs. have the storage built into the unit.  Personally, I like Emotiva's approach a lot...I don't want/need another hard drive in my home network.  I just want each streaming device to be able to find what I have.

Hope they follow the simpleaudio.co.uk feature set (which isn't available yet in the U.S.), especially the PowerLine feature (uses the home's power lines for connectivity, no ethernet or wireless needed).

Keep us posted!!
