A new to me Pilot pre/tuner...excellent!

until now. I replaced the new generation russian tubes for TFK 12AX7 and 12AU7...very nice...recapped also.

FA-690...now playing driving my RL12t15 monoblocks quite nicely. The unit is recapped and re-PS'd.  lots of Vcaps, which I never had before in my previous Pilot units.

Pretty soon, Pilot amp will join...second system for my JBL L-96...I don't want to wear out the Burgess rig.

i have never heard pilot preamps or amps, but i have several pilot tuna, and they are right up there w/my sherwoods - simply awesome sound...
