Cheap usb to i2s DSD module

There's a group buy going at diyaudio
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/vendors-bazaar/216474-usb-i2s-384khz-dsd-converter.html

If you are in the US (no VAT), cost is 46 euro for one board.

It will convert USB to i2s, at up to 384khz rates.

Cheap enough to buy one to play with.

I think the group buy is going to close after Sunday, he is sending out the invoices on Monday, so if you want one you should sign up now.

Carefully  8).

So, you would feed this modue USB, and it will generate an I2S stream.  Then you need a DAC that can read I2S at DSD rates.

I also participated in this group buy
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/group-buys/211201-es9023-wm8804-s-pdif-dac-group-buy.html

and I plan to use that board with a 9023 as the DAC for this project.

A buffalo DAC would also work, I don't know of any suitable commercial DAC, but there might be some out there.

There is some more info on the module here

Not yet, if I follow through, I will assemble it for this project.
