Scott,
I should be able to make it out there.  Any special munchie you would like me to bring?  What model of Tannoy have been working on?

Scott, I'll be there and I'm bringing Lynn. She makes a mean Mexican lasagne.

Well, looks like Marci and I won't be able to make it after all.  I expect everyone to hoist a few in our absence.  :D

Bummer, maybe next time  :thumb:

Added Jim Pendleton from Osage Audio to the list :thumb:

NOTICE
Over the weekend I'll post the location of the lot where you can park along with the phone number to the driver (my daughters boyfriend). As I mentioned, we'll have a shuttle running between the lot and the house since we don't have room for all the cars.

Cool. Got you down.  :thumb:

On the food...how about a side dish of some sort. Maybe potato salad or slaw?

Saturday is still on. If possible I'd like to hold off until late afternoon. My day is pretty full trying to get this place whipped into shape. I'm thinking after 5:00 or so. If that works for you, we can order in some pizza or something. If you'd rather, we could try it mid-afternoon Sunday. I should have most everything wrapped up by then.

lemme know :thumb:

OK Guys, here's the parking plan.

If you come out Hwy 44 and get off at the Pacific exit 257, turn right on Viaduct Street. Turn left on Thornton Road and you will see FIREWORKS WORLD on your right. That is where you'll park and my future son-in-law Eric will pick you up. This lot is only a couple of minutes from the house.

Here are a couple of pics that will give you a visual of where to park.

I've included this in the original post too.

Joe,

I missed your response  :duh: Since I'm outside most of the day, why don't you give me a call at the house. My number is in the above post. I'm still good for today or tomorrow.

Just a bump in case you didn't see the parking arrangements above  :thumb:

The extended forecast is calling for 70 degrees and sunny, PERFECT weather  8)
Keep your fingers crossed :thumb:

PLEASE NOTE

Parking arrangements have changed slightly.

As opposed to parking in the gravel lot across from the Fireworks stores, please park directly across the street at FIREWORKS WORLD. The gravel lot is chained off. Thankfully Fireworks World is closed for the season so parking there is no issue at all. Nothing else has changed.

I updated my previous parking posts with current pics.

Sorry about the confusion.

See yall Saturday :thumb:

OK guys, two more days :thumb: This is the last bump. Looks like it's going to be beautious Saturday. Here's the forecast from NOAA.

  • Saturday Sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind 6 to 15 mph.
  • Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northwest wind 5 to 9
You may want to bring a light jacket for sitting outside after dark.

The Tannoys are up and running and sound pretty darned OK, especially with the 211s.

Unfortunately my HH Scott in the vintage room took a powder. It's a power supply cap or diode (I haven't had a chance to trouble shoot it) so I've got a 70s vintage Sony VFet integrated in there. It seems to work fine with the large Advents and the phono stage is decent too.

It sounds like Kent is bringing over another pair of Large Advents for Blackmore so we may do STACKED ADVENTS in that little  vintage room :o :o :o
HEY DAVES, if you've got a spare tubed integrated you could bring to use in that room, that would be marvie. If not, no biggie, the Sony is OK.

Don't forget, parking has changed from the lot to Fireworks World across the street.

See yall Saturday :thumb:

Scott, you can pick and choose... Scott 299c, Scott 299d, Eico HF81, Stromberg Carlson AS433, or a McIntosh 1700 if you want to stretch it out.
