OK Guys,
In keeping with my style of trying to offer a better product for less $$, I chose the 8CG7 for this preamp. The 8V version comes in just about as many flavors as the 6V version at about 1/5 average cost. Sounds like a deal to me.
This preamp features an SRPP front end into a parallelled cathode follower for an output impedance of around 250 ohms. It will drive anything I've seen besides headphones.
I added a warmup switch to allow the filaments to remain on and warm until you are ready for a listen.
Input sensitivity switch in case you have a hot source like some of the new DACs with upwards of 4V on the output.
Separate B+ and filament transformers.
Dual outputs so you can drive either a bi-amped setup or subs.
This one is one of the prototypes. I am still arranging things under the hood. No sonics are affected, I am looking at assembly layouts.
As with my old chassis and designs, these are 100% one-offs. I hand select all the wood used on these for figure and grain. Machine all the metal, and assemble every one by hand. This one is Mahogany and Peruvian Walnut on the sides. It is hard to see, but the sides have nice figure.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
This one is $375 shipped CONUS. I pack and ship very quickly and insure all shipments.

Thanks for looking!
