Yes, the ultimate volume control....he he,...if you can stand your music at one volume.   The most obvious use will be for biamping and level matching and padding a too hot level.  We use these very transparent volume controls for our listening but most people would not like having only one volume setting.  You solder hounds can change the resistor to ground for different listening levels.  OFC male and female soldered together.....nude Vishay series element and Roderstein resistor to ground as shunt.....very simple very pure....you might want a pair for those "special" listening sessions.  We can make them in any impedance and any level of attenuation.  see website for upcoming picture.  $100 a pair for 20K or less impedance....slightly higher for higher impedance versions.

Am I the only person that can't get into your website? I click on the dove and it takes me to another screen with three doves and that's it  :o

Don't click on the dove.  Scroll down (if need be) and click on the link of your choice on the left.

MCA,
Thanks for the heads up on the link on the dove.  After all these years I had no idea that it had a link to it.  No one ever said anything...and I never noticed....I broke the link so that will never happen again.

Rick, I have a pair of your Ultimate nude attenuators.  I forgot what impedance it is.  Is there a way to look at the unit and tell?

Jon,
Using a multimeter you can measure the impedance from the female hot pin to the male hot pin.  It should be either 1K or 10K.  Alternately you can read the values off the resistors (if you know the color code).  The first resistor on both units is 1Meg but the next is either a 4.99K or a 49.9K (the lower value means you have a 1K attenuator).  You can measure the resistors with a meter as well.   However, just a visual inspection will not determine anthing unless you can read the color codes.  Hope this helps.
