Hello. I am pretty new here and am looking at building a very nice two channel audio set up on a budget. I know I am going to use a very high sensitivity speaker to mate with the integrated amplifier I decide on. The speaker will be either a Tekton Lore or an offering from Omega. So 94-98db sensitivity. I have narrowed it down to 3 different integrated amps. All 3 are a little different. Obviously most of you are familiar with the Decware amp, but the other two are not as talked about. The Napa is a hybrid tube/solid state amp and the Dayen is strictly solid state but heard that it sounds so good that it has the sound of a tube amp. I need an integrated amplifier that can play all music very well as I do not listen to just one genre of music. Thanks for the help.

For the integrated I suggest the KT 88 from Eastern Electric, I won one and I recommend it.  There is(was?) one for sale on these forums.

Decware EL34 SET:

I know, mo money, but mo power too...

Or, if you're handy, build a SET amp (This was my solution, saves a lot of $)

I'd just stay away from Chinese stuff. I know, some of it is great, but I don't care, I won't buy it...

Wonderful tube amp and I have all the parts needed for a SimpleSE for sale to boot, with preassembled PCB.

On these amps you mention I would choose the Decware, they have a high standard of design and construction and offer a lifetime warranty.

Yeah, the Decware seems really nice, plus I had a conversation with Steve yesterday and they are doing a couple of upgrades to the SE84C+ I would love the Ampino as well though, I can get a pretty good deal on it right now. Oh the choices the choices.  :D

I have been using a Decware SE84CS M Monoblocks for a few months that I bought used on Agon.  Originaly used them with a pair of VS VR3's, and just recently got a pair of Decware HDT's, 96dB, after hearing my amps on the pair Steve has at his shop.  All I can say is WOW!!!  Get the Decware, you won't be disappointed.  And, if you get a second unit, you can bridge them for a 6 watt output, not that you'll need more power with the speakers you are using.  Also, Steve and his staff are the best in the business, not to mention his quality build and lifetime warantee.

Hope this helps.

Have you ruled out a 2a3?
