It is a very sad day in our House today. Our Reuben was diagnosed with
spleen Cancer last Monday the July 30th at the age 8 years 3 months.
We had no choice but to do what we had to do.
We are going to miss our best Boy .

Reuben many have lived a short life, but I bet it was a darn good one!

Condolences to you and your family Robert. We have lost 5 goldens over the years and it is heartbreaking every time.

We have found that getting a new puppy helps us deal with the loss.

My girls and I are sad for you.

The day we put down the last dog, Ozzie, at 15 his hips gave out.

Reuben looks like he was a real sweetie and was much loved. We lost one of our black labs when she was about the same age and understand your sorry. These wonderful dogs don't live nearly long enough.

I just hugged my dog "Bonus" after reading your story and I am so sorry for your loss. I have his picture on my moniker because he means so much to me. From the first day I held him I said to him "You are going to break my heart some day". Your day arrived and your pain must be overwhelming but I thank you for the courage to share the memories with us.

Your sadness has touched us all in our home and Daisy say's hey. She is over fourteen now and an incredible dog (even for a golden).

Sorry to hear it. Lost both of mine two years ago and it was tough. The Goldens' have to be one of the friendliest breeds out there.
