Mini Maggie Demo for the electronically impoverished:

If you haven't heard these little monsters be prepared to be astonished, the sound quality is really good.

Looks great. If I needed desktop speakers these would be on the very short list of ones to hear.

What's that thing on the shelf that sort or looks like a center channel?

The minimags are really neat but I think finding the correct market is a major problem. My wife would love for me to get them and give up on my IIIa's (not going to happen). IMO, the major problem is that I am not going to sit in front of a computer to do serious listening and for casual listening while working on the computer I don't need to spend $2000 (speakers, amps, cables, source) or more.  I do have a small room (10x10 or so) at my beach house where these might work but again not as a desktop set.

Yeah, what IS that center channel looking thing?
Maybe I can find out.

My wife wants me to dump the 3.7s and go with the Mini Maggies.
I would if I were in an apartment and couldn't crank the volume way up every so often.
I did hear them in a small-ish room and they were certainly capable of filling the room with sound with the aid of a small sub so you don't need to be planted right on top of them.

Same here I wouldn't ditch my full size 'stats for them. But I do think there is a marketplace for them, several people on Headfi that listen at their desktops almost exclusively purchase high end bookshelf speakers.
