even after ya paid the trucking company for shipping that 850 lb beast, & hired the electrician to wire it up, ya would still be spending a lot less than lotsa "audiophile approved" power conditioners.  this ain't the only thing like this out there - there's lotsa these types of things on ebay...

yeah, I think I will look into something like this when I get settled in after the move.  I already have approval from the missus to get a dedicated 20a line.  With something like this, holy cow, no need for a line conditioner of any sorts.  Voltage regulator up to 260A!!

I was serious enough to ask for a shipping quote.  850lbs is no joke, so I asked if they setup or just deliver to door.  I don't think I could get this into my basement alone.

they mite cut ya a deal - i've seen that exact item f/a more than once - the size-weight makes these things a tough sell - which is one of the reasons they are such a good deal!

I asked and the shipping is only $85.  The kicker is that you need a forklift on your end in order to take it out of their delivery truck!

I don't see that happening for an audiophile.

Considering the price of the unit and shipping, the added cost of renting a forklift for a couple of hours shouldn't be a showstopper. Small standing lifts, which is all you would need for this, aren't too expensive. However, I've seen many, many shipments completely destroyed by people who should never have been allowed to operate the forklift.  :nono:
