Hey thanks!
But is it really? Might take one of the hi-rez police around here to let us know for sure... I love the Grisman hi-rez offerings from HD Tracks, so hoping this one proves to to be the real deal. Might not be a big enough release to get someone to test it for us though.
Any takers?

EDIT: well, just noticed. it does say "Hi-def Master" so maybe all is well!

A wonderful album, in any format.  :thumb:

Spectrum analysis shows non-noise response to at least 30 kHz.  Also of note (besides the great sound; it's apparently been slightly remastered as well) is the "alternate" version of the album.

The redbook has excellent SQ. The hi rez would have to be excellent, indeed, to better it.
His other albums are also well engineered including the vinyl.

And unlike HD Tracks, this one is only 12.95!

A friend of mine just turned me on to that, very good. Another good album for Jerry fans is Legions of Mary's Absolute Mary

I and others feel it's noticeably better.  It may not be just the hi-res; the A>D transfer is probably better, and there may even have been some slight remastering.

Purchased. Listened. Excellent. Did not compare it to the CD yet though.

I listened to both versions after I downloaded the hi res version and the new version is clearly nicer sounding.  As RB said, I would guess this has to do with both the higher resolution and the new transfer process/equipment.

The redbook version is audiophile gold. I have not heard any hi-res version.

Downloaded this last night, on first listen I was pretty impressed. $12.95 vs the usual $20 was refreshing as well.

They have a good bit of FLAC downloads on that site also, although they don't have a way to search only for hi rez files.
