Oh, yes.  I remember Eico.  My first amp was an HF-12A that I bought on sale from the old Stark's Electronics in Mpls. after a tornado in '65 tore their roof off.  The carton had been soaked, but the amp, wrapped in plastic, was fine; used it many years.  Then assembled an HF-90 tuner while in college.  Color blindness caused me to mix up a couple of resistors, but I caught the mistake in time and fixed it.  Then in '71, I found an ST-96 am-fm tuner from the pre-multiplex, simulcast stereo days in the old Schaak Electronics back room.  I assembled it for a church hall from which it was stolen a year or so later.  Was I flattered!  Last piece was the famous HF-81 integrated which I picked up used for my first "home theatre" set up.  Had a very nice sound.
