Up for sale is my best turntable, the classic Thorens TD-124. I love it, but just not getting the use it deserves. Completely gone through: lubricated, adjusted, working perfectly.
The period Empire 98 tonearm is a bit of an antique but functions well; fully manual of course, no cueing.
Timing and speeds are great. Idlers true, belt replaced. Motor quiet. Mat is original. Fixed firmly to the plinth, which is multilayer birch ply with stained veneer in top and black MDF base. 2 armboards included: the original, re-veneered, and a homemade one of poplar, now mounted.
Has RCA jacks on the back. Ser # 21478.
The headshell was modified, new copper wires added.
