Who Do You Trust?

The writer of this article isn't making a profound observation, but I believe an important one it terms of the changing high end audio market.

Who do you trust in terms of your audio equipment? And why?

Experience over many years has proved to me that I can trust Bryston, and more recently, Axiom.

I've discovered these things about both of them:

1. They deliver products that exceed my expectations.
2. If I have a problem, unlike large or customer-insensitive companies, they solve it, rather than denying there is a problem or blaming me, the customer.
3. If the problem is with the product, they use my customer complaint as an opportunity to make the product better.
4. They are accessbile.

I agree with Bryston; for the reason stated.

I also have a few audio shops nearby who have at least some staff that are focused on the customer requirements; not their sales targets.  The kind of place that will talk you out of a piece of gear they sell because it doesn't suit for some reason.

Who do i trust through owning and studying/listening: Paradigm, Cambridge Audio, Anthem, Bryston, Klipsch, Genelec, Adam Audio, Arcam.
There are others that i have listened to extensively and they sounded fine just, the asking price outweighed the performance and i could achieve the same fine sound with the list above. One thing that i have learned over the years is don't let your wallet do the shopping for you.

These companies make honest products that make sense in terms of cost/performance - no snake oil or audiophile voodoo sellers here.  :thumb:

The customer service is first class/no hassel - the manufacturer and dealers take care of my issues (if there are any) quickly.

I, like JfTM am also fortunate to have 2 shops in my twin cities that focus on customer needs and not their sales targets.
