Moving Sale: Custom single driver speakers $199

Long story short: we are moving in a month and I am putting a lot of items on sale due to non-audio reasons ... I am not leaving the hobby, just that the priority will be home theater for now

I do not remember who made these speakers - I bought them from audiogon a few months ago and they have been sitting in storage - without ever plugging them ...
They listed for ~ $1000 but I got them for less as the binding posts instead of single wire is of bi-wire type - though only the bottom one are useful - the top ones are not connected ...

They are brand now - I just connected them - they work.
I am not a single driver guy - it has some banana pulp? cone or something like that .. they are not high sensitive speakers -I have no specs ... they are built extremely well.

Color is black - they have grills ... they are being sold at the price of cabinets alone.

Dim: 10.5 deep x 9 wide and 15 high

I much prefer pickup from 11375 but I can ship for $40 within US ...

They are good in general, in the 2000 years when this driver came to light ''near speakers'' was a buzzword.
At 95dB and 8 ohms they are sensitivity enough to a small amp, which may means great sound quality.
If they delivery too much sound you can stuffing inside the box for less SPL.

$200 for a set of FE168eS is a very good price. They really need to be in a horn, so unless you plan on using them in a FAST, the enclosures are extraneous.

agree with Dave regarding the need for horn loading but if I would buy these I could probably find SOME use for the cabinets as they look pretty good ... are they reflex/ported?? any idea as to the materials used in construction?? (MDF/birch/??)

Last bump for a local pick-up before these get shipped ... honestly shipping stuff is a pain for me...
I have the box and bubble wrap they were shipped in - not very sturdy affair if you ask me - but I received them in perfect shape ...

go to costco - an amazing quantity of nice cardboard, great for shipping...
