Marblefest Part 2???

You can read about Marblefest Version 1.0 at Harmonic Discord.

It happened 2 years ago.

I managed to get Klaus Bunge, Peter Thompsen, and Jackman together, along with a lot of other great guys.

This year year, I was asked if I was going to have another one.  I thought that I wouldn't and asked the guy tongue in cheek what could top it.

The answer was Brian Cheney, Rick Craig and Danny all coming.....DAMN  :o

That would top it.

Then I realized that Rick grew up in Fort Wayne and his parents still live here I beleive....

Soooooo if I can convince these guys to come to Marblefest  '04 it will be on.

What do you guys think?

It would take place on August 28th, the weekend before Labor Day.

Would anyone be interested?

I would of course ask Danny and Rick to bring their speakers, and my RM40's should be good enough for Big B.

Keep in mind I have not asked any of the three mentioned above and they would have to come from long ways away, but I think it would be very cool.

Will there be security to keep 'em all apart?       Sounds pretty intriguing.  Hearing the "Big Three" all in the same system would be awe inspiring!  I can only imagine an "Alpha/Excelarray/RM-40 Gundown!"

I'll have to see how the time & money situation is by then- it would be cool to put a face to a bunch of the names.  Living in oblivion I've never met anyone here face to face.

Maybe we could tape it for the Jerry Springer show

I'll bring some speakers but not the Excelarray. I would hate to embarrass the other two speakers

Seriously, with all the posturing lately (must be the summer heat) I think it's time for all of us to keep quiet and let the speakers do the talking.

That would be neat. I never have heard the RM40's before. My Suburban might be able to make it. :)

I'd really love to be able to hear any of Selah's line arrays.  But perhaps it's the logistics of getting a big speaker to the fest...  If it looks like the 'Fest is gonna be on, perhaps shipping could be pooled to get a pair of something there?

That would be neat! I may be able to add a little Euro flavour. Would be good to put some faces to the names as well!

Not sure if I can make it though. :?

Hey!  Please put me down as a "yes"!  Michelle had such a great time at the last fest, I'm sure she would love to come along.   :D   I don't have any new gear or any electronic equipment to bring, but I'd gladly bring some booze.  Please keep us posted.

Marble,
See if you can invite MLS to bring his Onix Reference 3 to your festival. That should be an interesting lineup :)

I might even try to make it out there.  I have extended family and my wife has friends in Indiana.

I still have not heard back from Danny to know if this is a go or not.

I'll keep you guys informed when I hear something.

If they cannot appear why not send some speakers for a shootout?

Rick, part of the get together would have been to compare speakers, and part of it would be so you guys could bury the hatchet (and not in each other).

Without you guys getting together physically, burying the hatchet is very unlikely.

Do pictures of the last gathering still exist somewhere?  I seem to have missed whatever link there was on the Harmonic Discord thread.
