The Chinese have put limits on the amount of neodymium that can be exported and this has driven the price through the roof.

I have a pair of B&G Neo3 PDRW tweeters with the back cup removed. I'm pretty sure I bought these from Danny at GR Research. I've had a DIY dipole speaker for a few years, gone back and forth between the PDR and non-PDR tweeters. I recently bought a pair of Maggie MMGs to try something different, and was going to start parting out the drivers in the DIY speakers soon to get back some of the money.

They've been in a narrow-baffle dipole, crossed LR4 at around 1800-2200, so never pushed too hard, and driven by an Emotiva amp. No pets, non-smoking household. I can take pictures and post them here if you want. I was going to start researching prices and putting the drivers up for sale. I don't know what they're going for these days. Make me an offer :)

One more pair? How many pairs do you need?

Hey, some honesty to start with never hurts.

I just finished making my first DIY which the Neo3 were used , now i am satisfied and loving it i am making my another DIY PC nearfield speaker once listen this tweeter dont want to go anywhere else...

So that is an honest ans...and i might need one more if i may think of making speakers for my bedroom....

The Neo8 is larger. Some say it's best used as a mid although it has been used successfully as a mid/tweeter in line arrays.

The high frequency response off-axis (esp once equalized) falls off much faster with the Neo8.

yes stats = electro static.

Sounds like you're going to have fun :)
