Is there a way to drop all my FLACs into my library with Pure Music?

I have Pure Music, but have noticed only about 1/3 of my library appears to have shown up in the PM/Itunes library and I think the reason is due to the flacs.  I know Pure Music is supposed to be good about handling files individually, but if I've got hundreds of gigs of FLACs I just want to drop to my library in one shot...

Is there an easy way I've overlooked?

With "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library" UNCHECKED under the iTunes menu > Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab, then from the Pure Music menu, select "Add FLAC or DSD Files" .

You should then be able to drag either any number of selected files or a folder, if you have the FLAC files in a separate folder, into the Pure Music Add FLAC or DSD to iTunes window.

Steve,

Thanks a lot--will this method organize everything similarly within PM/Itunes then?  Album art, etc or will it all be a mess?

I've got an unopened MacMini on my counter I'm going to break out once my music library finishes copying to an external hard drive, so I'll be able to experiment for myself shortly.

If you have tagged the FLAC files with embedded Album Art then they should show up.  Everything will be organized according to the Artist, Album and other tags you used.  I would probably drag a few albums over initially just to see how it goes.  If you're satisified, then drag everything else over at once.

I'm in preferences now under music server settings, special, itunes and am not seeing those options...

I see a 'less is more mode' under settings, special, application--that seems to disable a bit of itunes, but I'm not seeing those boxes to uncheck.

The Preferences are in the  iTunes menu (not the Pure Music menu) under Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab

These get unchecked because for Pure Music to be able to use FLAC files, shortcuts to the files are stored in the iTunes library, not the files themselves.  Just remember to recheck those boxes if you add other file types to iTunes.

doh!

Thanks, Steve.  I feel silly for that mix up.  I'm trying it on my Macbook Pro now just to get a feel for it though the computer that will matter is my Macmini.
