Hello all

I am buying the dual 12" servo woofer amp combo:

To be used in this:

And I was wondering if there was an OB kit or DIY project that anyone might recommend to go with this?

I currently have the N3 towers and might consider using the drivers in an OB arrangement ala the upper end of the OB-7s. I assume the cross-over for the N3s wouldn't be the same.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Dave

I built this OB sub a couple of months ago. I use it with a pair of GR Research O3's. Sounds awesome and is easy to build. I have mine crossed over at 50Hz.

I do have a pair of V-2's (fully assembled) discounted to a really good price. They are all open baffle and would work great with a single pair of the open baffle subs. I'd set the sub in the center of the sound stage between the two speakers. That would be a really awesome combo.

While the V2s are high on my list of very desirable speakers, getting a fully assembled pair here (wayyy northern Canada) would be prohibitively expensive. Besides. I'd want to build them myself.

You could build just the lower half of the V2 using the plans online. I did this with some other subs and a plate amp I got from GR. Nice little addition to my 2 channel room. I assume the subs you purchased would work well in this design, but it would be best confirmed by Danny.

I could cut you a killer deal on the upper section of the V-2's and crossover parts and you could use a pair of the servo subs below each speaker. I could also cut you a deal on the rest of the parts needed to build out a pair of the V-1's. I have two pairs of those drivers left in stock.  :D

Trismos,  I suggest you call Danny - he's in a big time deal-cutting mood right now  :green:
