Try a search on diyaudio.com.  They have a ton of threads on the jordans.

Here's a commerical design from a very pleasant southern gentleman:

Check out the smaller cabinet that uses the 92S (still a mass loaded transmission line design) that can be placed on top of the larger Jordan bass unit).

I used to think that I wanted to turn my Jordan's into a two-way, but no more. I really like the way they have turned out in the end. A better DAC (DacKit) made a big difference. Not that I have anything against the concept, just that it's sort of fallen off my list.

Having said that, here is a long thread about a jordan two-way:

JohnR,

Can you compare your Jordan to the Fostek? Do they need the subs for music?

What are the dimensions on your isobaric subs, looks like a bit over 1.0 cf?

Thanks,

Al

Hi Al, didn't have the Fostecki long enough to make any meaningful comparo. Put those together for a friend and shipped 'em.

Jordans need a sub if played with anything with much bass. But I don't think they do loud well in any case. But they are IMHO very enjoyable for chambers, vocals etc, mostly I don't bother with the subs.

Good guess BTW, I think they are 35 liters.

John,

Do you think Jordan's in a ported enclosure would be an decent HT monitor in a 5.1 setup?   I am thinking of building relatively small on-wall enclosures x 5 for full range Jordan 92 drivers.  Mated with a sub and crossed low (via the recr) do you think these would make good HT speaks?

Have you all considered using the new JXR6 HD for your projects?  I have been searching all over the net for people using these and can fid a whole lot.  This is the most interesting post I have found thus far.

I have just completed a pair of vertical linear arrays consisting of hexagonal sixteen liter enclosures using four each of the JXR6 HD drivers. They are designed as sealed acoustic suspension providing a system resonance of about 110 to 115 hz. No crossover or equalization components are used with the Jordans. A pair of TBI Magellen VI powered woofers are used set at 150 hz 18 dB crossovers. Currently a 30 watt EL84 push pull amp drives the system. Plans are to use a 15 watt SET integrated next. It is early but these drivers are clearly superior to most and the combination is fast and extended. These replaced a pair of QUAD ESL57's and are less directional, more detailed, more dynamic, more capable of musical reproduction and more acceptable in decor.
I have reservations about their longivity and reliability resulting from a lack of crossover and the driving of them below their resonance but they have not failed yet.
