Very good condition monoblocks. Kit built very well by previous owner (see photos). The new owner will also have the peace of mind knowing that the soft start upgrade was installed at the Bottlehead factory. I've had these for just under a year after the soft start upgrade was done. I love these amps, but the 9wpc is *just* below what is needed for my 90.5 dB sensitive speakers, otherwise they would be staying.

See photos at my ad on Audio Asylum. Perfect feedback there and at Audiogon, same username "watercourse": http://www.audioasylumtrader.com/ca/listing/Amplifier-Tube/Bottlehead/Paramount/v1.1-300b-with-soft-start-and-extras/65945

These amps were auditioned over a couple of days at a local AA member's place, who normally runs monoblocks in the $10k range, and long story short, even though he did not find these amps bettered his regular amps, they were certainly not embarrassed by the comparison. The bottom line is that he thought they were a steal at the price. This was with the stock tubes, as configured in this sale.

With the 104dB/m horns and active woofers, I thought they sounded much better than I had heard in my system (and I still think they sound amazing with my DeVore Nines): 3D quality and depth, with a top end sparkle, punchy bass, and just a well-rounded, linear, dynamic, and musical combo. Playing within their abilities, these little amps are astounding.

The amps will come with the stock EH 300B's, GE JAN 5670 input tubes, and OBM. There are extras, which include Mundorf silver in oil caps, upgraded Bottlehead power cords, custom walnut stain by Bottlehead, professional (Bottlehead) install of soft start, and of course the badges. These are great amps that I wish I could keep. These amps with vocals, especially massed voices, is spooky.

These will be shipped as they came to me from Bottlehead after the upgrade, namely, in two separate boxes. Local pickup is preferred if you are in SF Bay Area.

Those look really nice...I'm building a pair myself right now, actually! The price looks to be $1,200 which is a nice price for these with the upgrades.  Just asking...those Mundorf SIO...are they the 3.3uf or a higher value (the range for the parafeed cap is 2.7uf to about 10uf if I recall).

Good luck with your sale!

eclein, I knew I forgot something. Yes, $1200 as the AA ad says. Shipping and paypal additional.

Inferno, the large Mundorf SIO are 3.3uf indeed. The smaller Mundorf SIO caps are 0.1uf, which you can see in the photos. I think the price is pretty nice considering they were basically rebuilt by BH, and the upgraded caps and cords do work well with these amps. Surprisingly linear, punchy, and accurate, along with the 3D and depth that 300Bs are known for. Good luck on the build!!!

After having lived with these for a while and realizing that the BH kits are very high value, I am looking into building the upcoming BH 300B-based preamp kit once it's released. The SET sound is really something else, and would like to keep it in my system in any way I can.

Questions? Please shoot them my way.
