If you've spent time in New Orleans you've heard of the extended Batiste family; an incredible family of musicians.

If you've seen Uncle Lionel you would remember him.  A dashing figure, always well dressed, wearing his watch on his hand, carrying his walking stick.  Nothing but class and style.

Always asking the ladies to dance, the drummer for the Treme Marching Band, and a vocalist who would show up a clubs and be invited on stage to sing a few.

He was 81.
