Carver ZR amps
« on: 8 Jul 2012, 09:55 am »
Hi I'm new to this forum but been into audio for many years.

There was a buzz about Carver ZR amps 8-10 years ago. Just wondering what the current thinking is about these as I have a chance to buy a ZR1600.

Are people who loved them then still using them? If not, what are you using now? Have things improved, in which case which are the models to look into now.

Happy to consider pro models especially as speakers need a lot of driving (Tannoy i12).

Many thanks.

I just checked thecarversite for you and nary a peep, probably because it's not a Bob Carver named product, not a Bob Carver designed product.
I'd take a pass unless the price was really low.
P.S.
I'll ask for you and see if anything turns up.

If you are interested in acquiring a ZR-1600, I have one I would be willing to let you have for a reasonable price. I have all the original packaging and manual.
