Just got an update notice that a new version of SqueezeBox server is available.  Anyone tried it yet?  Any issues?

I always hate to be early in the update cycle, without any reviews.  Been burned a few times like that on various software.

I just put 7.7.2 on my new laptop the other day and it runs perfectly fine so far. I know its only been on a few days but nothing catastrophic happened right away like has happened to me in the past. Not sure that helps ya...

I've been running 7.7.2 and the more recent 7.7.3 beta version for at least 3 months.  Very stable.   Seems they are working on a more adventurous 7.8 version that will have some major updates to it.

I would like to point out that its necessary to update to LMS 7.7.2 in order to establish the use of the Enhanced Digital Output app written by the member of the Squeezebox Community Forum known as Triode.
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?94512-Announce-Enhanced-Digital-Output-app-USB-Dac-and-192k-Digital-Ouput
The app reconfigures the Touch kernal so that the USB becomes an output and all digital outputs become capable of 24/192 flac output.
This was pointed out by Wayne from Bolder Cables in a post some time back.
I've finally updated both of my systems to take advantage of this by adding budget asynchronous USB DACs both of which require self powered USB hubs to work.
The sound quality in both systems has taken a quantum leap upwards, even @ 16/44.1 k resolution which comprises most of my collection.  Greater clarity, extention at both ends of the frequency spectrum and a more convincing tonal signature are now the norm. The last official version of Squeezebox Server (now called Logitech Media Server) was 7.7.2 and was released in March. I'm not sure why you're just getting an update notification. What version are you currently running?
