Does anyone own one?  Thoughts?

That is a DAC I'd love to hear and as Jason mentioned, the measurements are superb.

WOW! 4K is out of my range for some time, but manufacturers take note, THAT is how you present your product.

Put some effort into it for 'sakes.

I've been eye balling it, and I'll see if I can get a demo since it's manufactured in my home town.  :D

I've heard great things from people over on Computer Audiophile.

I've been watching this component for about a year since one of the gurus at Head-Fi reviewed it a year ago.

It took me a while to wrap my head around how innovative it was but it really is a very intriguing piece of kit. While 4k might seem to be a lot what you actually get is a DAC, a Linux server, and remote volume control all in one compact component with SOTA specs. The software development is evolving at a slow pace compared with other computer based systems. The file system at present is rudimentary and there is still the promise of support for FLAC files.
The potential is great as support for SDXC is promised and 2T of non-volatile memory is  very appealing.
There used to be a forum at the Reasonessence website but that closed, I suspect, due to lack of traffic. The thread at Head-Fi has ground to a halt, leaving the only source of updates the review section on the  Reasonessence website that trickle in.
Hey highfilter, see if you can get Ken Pachkowsky to post in this thread with updates.  Thanks for the heads up at Computer Audiophile. Was not aware of that.

Their website is pretty neat too. Obviously you get all their specs in the pdf, but the front page kind of jumps out at you with "130db s/n ratio, .00002% distortion", seems like the right level of dac to match up with the ncores.

I hope Jason or Mike buys one so they can spill the beans.
