Building a Pre amp from an old tube tuner?
« on: 30 Jun 2012, 07:37 pm »
I was wondering how complicated building a preamp from parts would be? and if there's any good straight foward resources on this?

      Thanks :)

Remembering back some decades, there are virtually no parts one can use from a VHF tuner except possibly the dual triode (6DJ8, 6BK7, 6BQ7), and resistors. Maybe a resistor or two from a UHF tuner. I would not depend upon anything else, except possibly the vhf channel selector, but don't bank on it.

Cheers.
